My Professional Background & Approach

I’m an EMDR-trained therapist specializing in trauma, anxiety, and depression for teens and adults in Texas. I help clients move from feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or weighed down by past experiences to feeling calmer, more in control, and able to move forward with confidence.

With over 10 years of experience working with youth and families, I understand how stress, anxiety, and trauma show up in everyday life. My approach goes beyond just talking. We focus on helping your brain and body process what’s been holding you back so you can experience real, lasting change.

I use EMDR along with evidence-based approaches like CBT and DBT, tailoring therapy to your unique needs. Whether you’re dealing with past trauma, ongoing anxiety, or feeling stuck in patterns that aren’t working, therapy is focused on helping you feel more grounded, clear, and confident.

Client Records Requests & Consumer Information (HB 4224)

In accordance with Texas House Bill 4224 and applicable Texas law, MC Counseling LLC is committed to transparency and timely access to client records.

Requesting Your Records

Clients may request copies of their counseling records by submitting a written request via email to: melanieburns@bloom-within-counseling.com

Please include:

  • Client’s full name

  • Date of birth

  • Type of records requested

  • Preferred method of delivery (secure electronic or paper, if applicable)

Records will be provided within the time frame required by Texas law (generally within 15 business days of receiving a valid written request, unless an extension is permitted by law). Reasonable fees may apply as allowed by statute.
